China Trip Photos  - Oct 2, 2003

Today I went to the Imperial Palace (Forbidding City). This historical site was the Palace for the 24 Emperor during the Qing and Ming Dynasty. the Palace has over 9000 rooms and was built in 1640 AD. True and Jinjie took on a tour. Donald's parent treated me to lunch at a nice restaurant in Beihai Park near the Emperor Palace. Mike, Tiger and a famous opera singer also joined us for lunch. The restaurant famous for tourist to eat the emperor's food. In the evening I attended another welcome party by David and his wife, True, Mary, Susan, Grace, Tracy, Alan, Dean and his friend. After a wonderful dinner we went to a local Beijing Opera at a Tea House. Two ancient plays were performed. One about Emperor whose wife killed her self to help stop the wars and about monkey that the gods above were trying to capture and take to heaven.
