China Trip Photos  - Oct 1, 2003

Today I went to the Bell tower and Drum Tower in the old downtown area of Beijing with True and his son. The Bell and drums are use to tell time of day and season of the month. At this location some acrobatic program was performed by some very talented children. The afternoon I went to lunch with Janet's family and to the Summer Palace that was use by the Emperor many years ago. The Summer Palace is located on the hill near Beijing were the emperor would go to get away from the heat of the summer. There was was Kunming Lake and Buddhist temple at this Palace. We also went to see the 9 dragon wall.  In the Evening we went to traditional Qing restaurant
